In the 22 miles N of Melbourne, Florida is a small city along the Brevard County, the city of Cocoa, Florida in which the city of Tampa, Florida is 109 miles west of Cocoa.
After a lot of historical calamities and terrible happenings in the past, still this excellent city has offered the residents and most visitors the best quality of fun and historical facts there is to offer. And due to the mishaps of the city’s pasts, Cocoa had risen to the point that it had a great amount of population in the following years.
A city is not so fun without any attractions but this city gave all their best to have the best ones. Most of Cocoa’s main attractions are more on the historical events that had happened in the yesteryears but though most history are boring, the city of Cocoa had its counterpart for these attractions, and these are the amazing activities and spots where people can enjoy, relax and feel at home.
One of their historical places is the Porcher House where people can enjoy a very romantic and elegant place for a very special event such as weddings and reception. Also it has the perfect ambiance that offer a great setting that no other place can be compared. Open for the use of the community, the Porcher House where is located at the center of the Historic District of Cocoa, is also the best place for great parties, meetings afternoon teas, luncheons and card parties. Kennedy Space Center is a very well known space center in the whole country. It is a place where tourist can enjoy a unique chance of having the close-up tour in the launching and landing facilities of NASA where in the tour, people experience an excellent interactive simulator, also an on-the-spot show which leads the audience into jaw-dropping situation about the huge rockets. In this tour, tourist too can meet the veteran astronauts of NASA.
August, 1984 was the date wherein the former local theatre was renamed and owned by the City as the Cocoa Playhouse. Through different kinds of donations, this theatre was made into action and through the help of different volunteer workers and performers; the Cocoa Village Playhouse was having the perfect performance, also the performers have been increasingly great and have been making the Cocoa Village Playhouse a famous theatre.
One of the fun activities in the city of Cocoa, Florida is the visitation of the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse where it has witnessed most of the famous rocket launch and is witnessing the present launches. Not only is the lighthouse a great place to visit for fun but it too is very historic. Of all this years, Cape Canaveral Lighthouse still is and always witnesses the greatest rocket launch and the beautiful sights and jaw-dropping about the rockets.
